Re-design of the identity system for the mental health company: Headspace. RISD graphic design worked with the creative team at Headspace to learn about their challenges and present design solutions.
Headspace’s Current Challenges:
- Changing public perceptions from a “meditation company” (what they’re historically known for ) to a “mental health company” (what they want to be known for)
- Maintaining a “wellness lifestyle” edge
- Launching D2C Therapy in June
- Paying special attention to differentiate from other therapy apps (ie: talkspace, betterhelp)
Solutions:
- Imagery from nature to relay calm and serenity
- Emphasis on patterns and repetition to tie back conceptually to meditative practices
- Color palette & type treatment that reflects 4 core values:
